Emily L. Easterling

Co-Founder, Director of Massage and Movement · Annapolis & In-Home

Emily founded Naptown Massage and Movement to help people feel at home in their bodies. A massage therapist for 20 years and a newly minted Pilates instructor, she starts by watching how you stand and move, then works on the patterns behind your pain, not just the sore spot, so relief lasts longer.

Her work is deep yet gentle. She reaches the layers that need it without forcing, so your body lets go instead of bracing against the pressure

She focuses on ankle sprains, hip and low back pain, and neck and shoulder pain, whether it comes from a desk job, training or a weekend on the boat. She blends Tui Na, myofascial, neuromuscular and orthopedic techniques to fit what your body needs that day, and you’ll leave with a simple stretch or Pilates move to keep the work going.

Hypermobile and Ehlers-Danlos (EDS) clients are a big part of her practice, and loose, bendy joints get work that builds stability instead of more stretch. She’s also a calm, steady fit for neurodiverse and sensory-sensitive clients. She explains as she goes, checks in on pressure, and offers quiet sessions, dim lighting, fragrance-free products and extra blankets. No diagnosis needed; just tell her what helps. You can find her at The Shed, ONE. Physical Therapy and Meadow Hill Wellness in Annapolis, or she can come to you. Off the table, you’ll find her on the water around Annapolis and Assateague.
